Moto’s Q3 Profit Jumps 79%

RED HERRING reports on Motorola's strong third quarter earnings, which exceeded Wall Street’s expectations, on strong sales of cell phones, particularly its hit RAZR model.

Edward Snyder at Charter Equity Research, said "They’re as strong as I’ve even seen them going into the holiday season. They had strong unit volume, strong financials, strong guidance."

Snder added that “Nothing will sell as well as RAZR sells—it’s just been on a tear—but there’s definitely been a lot of strength."
