May 23 Roundup

This post by Thomas Husson at JupiterResearch about kids born in the mid-to-late 90s being today's "mobile" digital natives and a hot and lucrative mobile consumer market is quite interesting. Not being a Jupiter client, I don't have access to the "European Mobile Youth Consumer Survey 2007" that Husson references and authored. It'd be interesting to see where mobile games fall in terms of content and services that young European customers are more likely to use and buy. Growing up playing GameBoys, DS/DS Lites and PSPs (umm yeah) must significantly impact this market. My soon-to-be 12 year old son play games on his handset, but since he's not paying for the content (it's a carrier review phone) it's kind of a moot point...
