Over-the-air downloads latest Sprint offering
The San Francisco Chronicle covers the Sprint music service story. Suzzana Ellyn at Current Analysis said, "I don't see this as a mass consumer product right now. I think the volume of downloads won't be very heavy."
Countered Lewis Ward at IDC, who was also quoted in Sprint's press release announcing the Power Vision network, said, "This is an opportunity to get the average Joe who's never downloaded a song on his PC,. At $2.50 (per song), as long as it's easy to do and sounds like CD-quality, I think a lot of people are not going to balk at the $2.50 price point."
