Motorola Plans to Release Second iTunes Phone

After viewing a photo at Engadget (right), Technology News writes about Motorola's new Slvr handset that purportedly will be the next iTunes phone.

Roger Entner at Ovum said, "This is what [the iTunes phone] really should be. The Slvr is much more the type of device I would've expected."

With the first iTunes-enabled phone, the Rokr, coming in with such high expectations, but landing with a resounding thud, Entner said, "You expected a race horse, and you got a mule.

The article cited a report from American Technology Research that claimed Rokr shipments met expectations, but the phone had high rates of returns due to "user disappointment."
