Unsung Chips for Small-screen Experience

The International Herald Tribune writes about the chips inside cell phones that are helping to power mobile TV. The article looks at the various players and the efforts to drive the market.

John Delaney at Ovum said,"Equipment vendors are citing 'willingness to pay' surveys to show that people will pay up to 10 per month for mobile TV, but we generally view such surveys skeptically. It's one thing to say that you're willing to pay; it's quite another thing to actually pay."

Have to agree. Until folks have to start opening up their wallets, no one will really know if there is a market for mobile TV....
