Rokr Not Roking

In an article about job reductions at Motorola, The Wall Street Journal also cites a report from Piper Jaffray that says sales of the Rokr music phone have been slower than expected.

Piper Jaffray analyst Michael Walkley wrote that "Our checks indicated mixed to negative reviews of the much-anticipated Rokr phone, with some stores indicating strong early sales but more indicating disappointment in the product."

Not a surprise given the lukewarm response it received from press and analysts...
