PayPal Takes E-Commerce on the Road

TopTechNews writes about PayPal's new mobile payment service, which is available in the U.S. and Canada, and allows users to send money, purchase items, or donate to charities from a mobile device.

IDC analyst Lewis Ward said, "There are some issues that need to be resolved in the marketplace, like digital-rights management for some content, but, in general, we expect an uptick in services. That could prove to be very compelling for consumers."

Ward opined "it will be up to carriers and service providers to aggressively tout the benefits of new services." He added, "They've got their work cut out for them."

I'm all set up on PayPal mobile. Now I just need to figure out where to spend my mobile dollars....
