Michael Gartenberg posts a welcome at the Jupiter Analyst Weblogs to HP's Dave Rothschild, who will head up the company's new handheld division. Gartenberg notes Rothschild use to "be CEO of Pixo, a little company that made the sofware that went into" the iPod. Gartenberg writes about how he knows Rothschild from his past life and concludes with:

HP's recent mobile strategy has certainly been messy over the past few years and bringing Dave onboard was a good idea (along with another smart Apple alum, Satjiv Chahill).

Hopefully, they'll be able to bring some of Apple's marketing savvy over to HP, because they sorely need it for their handhelds...
