M:Metrics: Can You See Me Now?

The M:Metrics Blog posts new data that "65 percent of camera-phone owners used their phone to take pictures in the month of November, and more than half (51 percent) of those who did take a photo sent it over the network."

M:Metrics states:

photo messaging was consistently the fastest growing mobile data application in 2005 as subscribers discovered that, similar to text messaging, photo messages could be sent to friends using services of different carriers (albeit inconsistently supported on different handsets). The most popular device used to send photo messages was the LG VX6100, offered by Verizon, whose subscribers account for 35 percent of all photo messaging consumers.
